APSP – Association of Pool and Spa Professionals. APSP stands for The Association of Pool & Spa Professionals. It is a national association made up of independent manufacturers, distributors, swimming pool builders, retailers, and service companies.
CSP/CBP – The CSP Certified Service Professional and CBP Certified Builders Professional designation was created as a means of recognizing the technical skill and knowledge of very experienced pool/spa service providers. The designation is only earned by those who possess the years of experience and continuing education requirements, and pass a challenging, objective, written examination. Companies holding the CSP and CBP designations are widely recognized as among the most skilled and knowledgeable in the pool/spa service industry. Less than 10% of all pool companies on Long Island hold both certifications.
CPO – The CPO® certification program includes pool and spa chemistry, testing, treatment, filtration, maintenance, automatic feeding equipment, and government requirements. Widely accepted by local and state authorities. Covers topics necessary for pool operators including a section for local and state codes. The CPO® certification is recognized nationally and internationally.
